Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
This policy explains what personal data Nexlo collects when you use the platform at nexlo.co.uk, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and the rights you have. Nexlo is a market-intelligence product for UK housebuilders; the market data it displays is sourced from public websites and is described separately on our methodology page. This policy covers your personal data as a user of the service.
1. Who we are
Nexlo (“we”, “us”) provides the Nexlo platform. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@nexlo.co.uk.
2. What we collect
- Account details. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects the information needed to create and secure your account — such as your name, email address, and authentication identifiers.
- Usage analytics. We use privacy-focused analytics (Vercel Analytics) to understand general usage — for example, which pages are visited and aggregate traffic patterns — to improve the product.
- Preferences you set. Settings you choose in the app, such as your selected region or saved developments, so the product works the way you expect.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not collect special-category personal data.
3. Why we use it
- To create your account, authenticate you, and keep the service secure.
- To provide the platform's features and remember your preferences.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve the product.
- To respond to your requests and contact you about the service.
Our lawful bases (UK GDPR) are performance of our agreement with you (providing the service) and our legitimate interests in operating and improving it.
4. Who processes your data
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service. Each processes data on our behalf:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Vercel — application hosting and privacy-focused usage analytics.
- Render — database hosting for the platform's data.
These providers process data under their own terms and security controls. We share only what is necessary for them to provide their service to us.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited information to meet a legal obligation.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- request a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, email hello@nexlo.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
